It is with great sadness that the family of Angeline “Angela” Burritt announces her passing on Sunday, October 26th, 2014 at the age of 72 years. Carol Ann Marie Bailey passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2014, at the age of 58 years, beloved wife of Nelson Bailey of Redcliff. .GORDON WEILAND
June 15,1931 – October 19, 2014
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Gordon Weiland on Sunday, October 19, 2014 at the Andy Mogg Hospice in Penticton, B.C. at the age of 83.
He will be greatly missed by his best friend Anna and all of her children and grand children. Also cherishing his memory is one aunt, three sister-in-laws and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Gordon was predeceased by his first wife Shirley (Flaig), three brothers Lawrence, Dave and Wallace; one sister Irene Hellawell; and his parents Jack and Anne Weiland.
Gordon was born and raised in Manyberries AB, moved to Calgary and then on to British Columbia where he retired. Gordon was always very fond of the western way of life. At Gordon’s request there was no service.

King Yiu Lam of Calgary, passed away on Friday, October 24, 2014, at the age of 90 years, beloved wife of the late Tay On. She leaves to cherish her memory four children, Norman (Winnie), Frank (Jenny), Irwin (Minnie) and Wendy (Bruce) Chin; ten grandchildren, Raymond, Randy, David, Christina, Angela (Jamie), Eric (Rachel), Kelvin, Kelly, Percy and Pearl; five great grandchildren and one brother in China. She was predeceased by her husband, Tay On on January 31, 1988. Mrs. Marilyn Lusty, beloved wife of the late Mr. Raymond Lusty, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Home – Carmel Hospice on Wednesday, October 29, 2014, at the age of 69 years. Marilyn will be deeply missed by her children: Kevin Lusty (Tracy Jones), Jason Lusty, Joanne (Kevin) Johnson and granddaughter, Raeanne Johnson; brothers and sisters, Arnold (Alice) Hutton, Joyce (Lawrence) Hanson, Lois (Mervin) Black and Cyril Hutton as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Lusty and parents, Mildred and Earl Hutton. .PAULINE HELFRICH
1927 ~ 2014
Mrs. Pauline Helfrich, beloved wife of the late Mr. Jacob ‘Jake’ Helfrich, passed away peacefully at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Monday, October 27, 2014, at the age of 87 years. Pauline leaves to cherish her memory: two sons, Leonard of Medicine Hat, Michael (Judy) of Calgary as well as one granddaughter, Tabitha, who was a source of great joy and inspiration to her. Pauline’s memory will also be cherished by one sister, Tillie Robinson of Edmonton. She was predeceased by her parents, Adam and Barbara Bauer as well as eight sisters and three brothers. Pauline was a hard worker and a good homemaker. She enjoyed time spent with family, especially the regular Sunday picnics in Kin Coulee playing cards with relatives and friends. Pauline’s memory will be cherished without the proceedings of a formal service. .VICKI LYNN LEUCK
March 15, 1961 – October 27, 2014
Vicki Lynn Leuck of Medicine Hat, passed away on Monday, October 27, 2014 at the age of 53. Beloved wife of Shane Leuck and mother of Ben Leuck and Sam Leuck, she will be dearly missed. She is also survived by her mother Evelyn Entzminger and by many aunts, uncles and cousins in the Van Maarion, Entzminger, and Baker families. She was predeceased by her father, Art Entzminger, and her special uncles, Charlie and Butch. She will be missed by her dear friends Michelle, Dalyce, Maxine, Heather, Brady, Dale, Norm and many others.
Vicki was an amazing woman. She wore many hats during her life, from owning a kitchen gadget store to working for Statistics Canada to cake decorating. She was also a respected avocational paleontologist. She was very proud of working with the University of Alberta alongside her husband, naming several new species of ancient, dinosaur era insects, including an ant named after her hometown of Medicine Hat, Chronomyrmex medicinehatensis. She was a BMX mom and she loved her kitties and everything cat. But most of all she loved being a mother and a wife. She took good care of her boys, both sons and husband. She is loved and missed greatly. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Whisker Rescue Society of Alberta at whiskerrescue.com.
