The matter for a 19-year-old Lethbridge man accused of luring a 13-year-old girl, sexually assaulting her while she was unconscious and then sharing video of the attack on social media, was in Lethbridge court of justice Friday.
Lethbridge lawyer Greg White, who spoke to the case in the absence of the accused, Sean Cedric Bilo, said he still required more disclosure from the Crown’s office and was granted an adjournment until next month.
Lethbridge Police Service officials reported that police had been conducting an investigation of a  missing teenage girl on June 22, when they found her a short time later in a vehicle at a northside park.
Police said investigators determined the girl had been sexually assaulted while unconscious and recordings of the assault were “made available in a message screen for distribution on social media.”
A man who was also in the vehicle was arrested and the girl was taken to the Chinook Regional Hospital.
Bilo is charged with sexual assault; sexual interference; making printing or publishing child pornography; distributing, selling, importing or exporting child pornography; possession of child pornography; invitation to sexual touching; and luring a child.
The accused was released from custody after his arrest and was not required to attend court Friday. His next court hearing is set for Oct. 20.
