A 37-year-old man who was charged in August with several offences, including voyeurism, is scheduled to be in court next week in relation to the charges, as well as additional charges in connection with incidents earlier the same month.
At about 8 p.m. Aug. 27, a 32-year-old woman was jogging along Mayor Magrath Drive South. When she turned east on 6 Avenue she noticed a white truck following her. The vehicle pulled up ahead of her and stopped four times as the woman jogged along the road, but drove away after the woman turned a corner and encountered a group of people.
A photo of the vehicle was provided to police and a suspect was arrested without incident at about 10:40 p.m. at his northside home. Neil David Fox was charged with voyeurism, criminal harassment and mischief, and released from custody.
Following a news release in relation to the Aug. 27 incident, police received multiple complaints reporting additional incidents involving the same man.
Further investigation determined that on Aug. 16 a man in a white truck approached a 15-year-old girl who was riding her bike in the 1700 block of 23 Street North and propositioned her for sex. The girl refused and rode away but the man continued to follow her. The frightened girl was able to hide until the man drove away.
On Aug. 28 a 54-year-old woman reported that she had been sitting on the porch of her home when she was approached by a man. Following a brief conversation, he exposed himself to her.
Fox was subsequently arrested and further charged with invitation to sexual touching, criminal harassment and committing an indecent act.
The accused made a brief appearance this week in Lethbridge court of justice where Lethbridge lawyer Cara Lebenzon said she was working on a bail plan, but still needed additional disclosure. Fox, who remains in remand custody at the Lethbridge Correctional Centre, is to return to court Monday.
