The Community Foundation of Lethbridge and Southwestern Alberta has found a fun way to highlight some of the projects they have helped become a reality, while giving residents a chance to win big.
The CFLSA announced recently their “23 in 23” Summer contest, where they are highlighting 23 projects they recently supported through their grants programs, and they want members of the community to find them.
Executive director of the CFLSA, Charleen Davidson said in a news release that many may not know it, but they see the Community Foundation everyday.
“We support some incredible projects, thanks to the generosity of our donors, and we want to showcase those projects for everyone to see, but also so that people have a better understanding of just what it is we do,” said Davidson.
She said their grants support everything from the arts, to the social sector, to the whimsical, but most importantly they support a healthy community.
Some of the projects include the Helen Schuler outdoor classroom, Casa kiosks, Westminster School playground, Vulcan courts and playground, Raymond disk golf course, Lethbridge Legacy ornamental garden, Picture Butte walk on the wild side and the Coalhurst Spray Park.
To participate, visit the 23 projects the Community Foundation is highlighting over the summer months, take a selfie of your visit, post it on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram with the hashtag #CFLSA23in23.
Every selfie tagged and posted on social media is an entry into a draw for one of three $500 gift cards for groceries and gasoline.
For more details, including the “23 in ’23” game board and the 23 projects, visit their website at www.cflsa.ca.
The contest runs July 1 to Sept. 4. The winners will be announced on Tuesday, Sept. 5 on social media.
