Council preparing for summer break

Summertime is here and Lethbridge city council will soon be taking a brief break to enjoy it.
Only more council meeting is scheduled before elected officials take a breather until September.
The next full council meeting is scheduled for July 26 at 1:30 p.m. in council chambers. Aside from a meeting of the Priorities and Agenda Review Committee on July 18, that will be the last one in council chambers until September.
No Standing Policy Committee meetings are scheduled in July or August with the next one on the calendar being the Civic Works SPC which will meet on Sept. 1. The Community Safety SPC will return to duty on Sept. 8 while the Cultural and Social SPC gets back to business Sept. 15.
The Economic SPC will meet Sept. 28 and the Governance SPC will meet Sept. 29.
The first council meeting in September is scheduled for the 16th with the second one on the Sept. 27.
The Priorities and Agenda Review Committee will meet twice in September on the 2nd and again on the 19th. The Audit SPC will meet on Sept. 7.
Council will meet twice in October, on the 11th and on the 25th which will be the organizational and council meeting. Two council meetings are scheduled for November on the 8th and 29th with one in December on the 13th.
On Nov 14-18, council will hold meetings on its operating budget starting at 9:30 a.m.
