Progress on plans for the future of the Riverside School building remains in abeyance, according to its owner. Riverside School welcomed students for the last time in 2017. There are currently two COVID-19 outbreaks in acute care facilities in the South zone, says Alberta Health Services. An outbreak was declared at the Cardston Health Centre on Feb. 25. The online booking tool for COVID-19 vaccine was temporarily unavailable in the early hours Wednesday morning while the system was upgraded. Alberta Health Services says the upgrade will improve capacity of the online booking tool and make for a more user-friendly system. Alberta Health Services has issued a warning about the dangers of children swallowing small button-like batteries. A number of recent cases in Calgary and Edmonton, which required the hospitalization of some children, has prompted the warning.
