Update: The RCMP now believes this incident was accidental in nature and they consider the case closed.
Mounties in Oyen are looking for information about a vehicle that they believe was intentionally used to run over two dogs near Bindloss.
RCMP said on Monday that a white sedan was travelling on Railway Avenue in the hamlet on Sunday, Jan. 26 at about 10 a.m.. It was seen to accelerate and swerve off the road where it struck two large white pyrenees dogs.
Police believe the front end of the car was significantly damaged.
Oyen RCMP are investigating what they consider a hit and run collision. Anyone with information should contact the Oyen detachment at 403-664-3505 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
Bindloss is located about 130 kilometres north of Medicine Hat in Special Areas No. 2. 2
