The unidentified man is in custody and charged with assault with a weapon causing bodily harm, according to a release on Thursday morning.

It states that officers were called to the area of First Street and Sixth Avenue where they located a male with “non-life-threatening” injuries and transported him to hospital.

Police identified a suspect who had fled but was arrested a short time later.
