Following a serious collision between a motorcycle and truck in the morning hours Tuesday that sent one person to hospital with serious injuries, first responders responded to a second serious accident between a motorcycle and SUV that evening.

Shortly before 7 p.m. Tuesday first responders were called to the intersection of S. Boundary Road and Southridge Drive after a collision involving an SUV and motorcyclist, who sustained serious injuries and was transported to hospital.

Police say the driver of the SUV sustained no injuries, similar to a collision Tuesday morning that sent a motorcyclist to hospital with serious injuries, while the driver of the truck was unharmed in the collision.

On Tuesday police asked motorists to avoid the area, as the intersection was closed for several hours for investigation.

Police say both collisions involving motorcycles Tuesday remain under investigation and they are seeking assistance from the public. Police are asking anyone who witnessed one of the two collisions and has not yet spoken with investigators to call 403-529-8481 to speak with the Traffic Unit.
