Pride Guild holding naloxone training at public library on Sept. 25

By Medicine Hat News on September 13, 2024.

In collaboration with Alberta Health Services, the Prairie Pride Guild of Medicine Hat and District is offering naloxone training.

Also known as NarCan, naloxone is a fast-acting drug used to temporarily reverse the effects of opioid overdoses. This important training would empower attendees to administer a potentially life-saving measure, and will be facilitated by AHS staff at the Medicine Hat Public Library on Sept. 25 from 5:30-6:30 p.m.

The training is free of charge, but does require registration. Those interested can sign up by emailing Prairieprideguild@gmail.com, or via a form available on their FaceBook page.
