A Medicine Hat woman already facing drug trafficking charges has been arrested again following a search of her South Ridge home.

The ALERT Medicine Hat’s organized crime team and MHPS announced Friday they charged Jacqueline Rosanne Dopp, 46, on July 18, marking the third time in one year the woman has been charged with drug offences.

Police say they seized 30 grams of cocaine along with smaller amounts of fentanyl, meth and magic mushrooms.

Dopp has been charged with four counts of possessing drugs for purpose of trafficking, as well as three counts of breaching a court order.

She, and co-accused Cody McNeil Madore, 35, appeared in provincial Court of Justice in Medicine Hat on Tuesday. Dopp is in custody awaiting her next court appearance on July 30.

Acting Staff Sgt. Curtis Neiman, of ALERT Medicine Hat, said the provincial police unit that works with the Medicine Hat Police Service “recognize” the impacts of drug trafficking in the city.

“This investigation shows ALERT’s diligence in monitoring drug trafficking activity,” he said. “We continue to follow criminal intelligence and work closely with the Medicine Hat Police Service to target repeat offenders.”

Dopp was among four people charged in November 2023 when police alleged they found $30,000 worth of drugs in a home in the North Flats, and also faces charges from October 2023.
