Division Avenue construction expected to be completed later this month

Traffic will continue to be affected by road construction along Division Avenue S. between the intersections of Third Street and Fifth Street SE, but should be completed by the end of June according to the city.

Traffic detours are expected to change locations throughout the active construction zone, and motorists are reminded to obey all posted signs, speed limits and detours on the road.

City crews are performing a full road rebuild with a new road design that follows the principles of complete streets, meaning it will be made accessible and usable for all types of transportation as well as for people of all ages and abilities.

The city says businesses along the Division Avenue corridor remain open and are accessible during construction.
