Art fair next week at Towne Square

Art buyers and those in need of a late Mother’s Day present will be welcomed to the “Last Minute Market” next weekend staged at Towne Square downtown by nine local artists and vendors.

The event is the brainchild of artists Michele Winger and Kim Sibbald and brings together well-known local artists for the exhibition and sale.

The pair have rented the sales booths at the square, located at Sixth Avenue and First Street, and also obtained a community event micro-grant to purchase advertising and flyers.

Pottery, stone and Indigenous jewelry, metal sculpture, along with several formats of painting will be available for purchase.

The event takes place from 2-6 p.m. on May 10 and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 11.
