Gleichen RCMP seeking information in homicide investigation

Alberta’s RCMP major crimes unit is investigating a homicide that occurred in Gleichen on the evening of April 24.

Gleichen RCMP say they were contacted at 7:20 p.m. by EMS who responded to a call of an unresponsive male. Upon paramedics arrival the male was pronounced deceased and had injuries consistent with being assaulted.

An autopsy was performed on April 25 at the Office of the Chief Medicinal Examiner in Calgary and was deemed a homicide.
