Medalta to host country swing dance night on April 27

Medalta in the Historic Clay District will be hosting an evening of music and Western fun on April 27, as experts will be on hand for its inaugural Country Dancing Night.

The night will be led by Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede’s 2023 Princess Caitlyn O’Conner, as well as seasoned country dancer Winstyn Horton. The duo has a combined experience of 25 years, which will be put to good use teaching attendees several kinds of country dances, including the country swing dance.

The bar will also be open for the duration of the Saturday evening event while newly learned dancing skills are put to the test, and will feature a DJ to keep energy up for the whole night.

Door open at 7:30 p.m, and admission is by donation. The suggested rate is $10 per person. Medalta encourages those interested to make their attendance known via their Facebook Page.
