Inquiry will delve into farm death 18-year-old last May

@MedicineHatNews A fatality inquiry has been ordered to examine a farm accident near Bow Island last year. Carson Raymond Michael Cleaver, 18, died on May 8, 2023 as a result of the accident, according to a new list of matters slated for inquiries published this month by the Alberta Justice Ministry. A fatality inquiry examines circumstances surrounding a death and can recommend legislative or operational changes to prevent future injury. They do not assign fault. There is no set schedule for the review, done by a provincial court judge, to take place. According to an obituary for Carson Cleaver-Bueckert, he was attending college in Calgary after high school but grew up on a family agricultural operation in the Burdett and Bow Island area. 7-6
