MH Interpretive hosting annual Earth Day bash

Medicine Hat’s Interpretive Program is hosting its annual Earth Day event in the city.

This year’s theme is Planet vs. Plastic and will be hosted at Police Point Park.

The all-ages event running from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 20 has something for everyone with park interpreters providing lessons through hands-on activities revolving around what people can do to protect the planet.

There will be art to make, relays to run and other family activities. Each station will provide a stamp for every participant’s Earth Day passport and when that’s all filled, it can be entered with a name in a draw for a prize.

The event is no cost for participants, but donations to the non-profit organization are welcomed.
