Live music, arts to be featured at upcoming spring market

There is a buzz at Medalta as it gets set to host the ‘Bees & Blossoms’ two-day spring market April 5 and 6.

Organizers say they are excited to present a spring market following big success of the ‘Heritage Christmas Market’ in November.

The spring market will feature more than 40 unique artisan stalls as well as several children’s actives, including free face painting, bouncy castles, mini basketball, hockey and corn hole.

There will be three live music performances featuring Derek Hint on Friday evening and 13th Avenue & Liquid Uke Crew and Taking August on Saturday, who will be bringing a diverse sound of classic rock, pop, indie, folk and country.

There will also be several live musical acts playing during the entire two-day market.

Jim Marshall’s Art Exhibition will be on display and several local food trucks will be set up throughout the two-day market.

The ‘Bees & Blossoms’ market runs April 5 from 4-8 p.m. and April 6 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Medalta Potteries.
