Medicine Hat man faces new charges involving minors

@MedicineHatNews A Medicine Hat man with a history of sex-related offences is in custody on new charges. Austin Morgan Palmer, 24, was arrested this month by Medicine Hat Police, the News has learned and had his matters discussed Thursday at Alberta Court of Justice in Medicine Hat. He currently faces two counts of sexual contact with a child, two counts of sexual assault, single counts of observing sexual activity and child luring, and four counts of failing to comply with court orders. The matter was adjourned under April when specialized prosecutors are expected to detail the case against him and oppose his release. Palmer was previously arrested in 2018 when Oyen RCMP alleged he had broke conditions of a bail plan when he faced child porn charges following a regional investigation one year earlier. 7-6
