The Medicine Hat Cubs 50th season came to a close with a 4-2 loss Sunday in Game 4 of their third round series against the Sylvan lake Wranglers. A week after it was learned that Medicine Hat was denied federal funds related to a “Housing Accelerator” grant, reports arrive that the City of Lethbridge was also denied a $6.25 million request. The Brooks Bulletin is reporting that the $237-million Snake Lake reservoir expansion, near Bassano, was approved at the annual general meeting of the Eastern Irrigation District last week. This week will also bring the expected mid-month report from the St. Mary’s Irrigation District about reservoir levels heading toward an expected dry summer. The SMRID will hold its AGM and announce an initial water allocation for the season in early April.Tigers drop both weekend games
The Medicine Hat Tigers lost both of their games on the road over the weekend, hitting a three-game slide.
