Public school division to make budget comments in March

The Medicine Hat Public School Division is expected to release comments in March on this year’s budget. A statement from superintendent Mark Davidson reads: “Our full funding profile is expected in the middle of March, once we see it we will have a clear picture of what the budget means to us. At that time will be pleased to provide further comment.” Friday, Premier Smith held a press conference announcing 18 news school will be built in Calgary and 14 new schools in the capital region. Smith told reporters MLAs will make further announcements for new schools outside the province’s main hubs. The budget has tabled $2.1 billion for capital funding over three years to build, expand or modernize 43 schools in Alberta. 7-6
