Local distillery in high spirits following CASC awards

asmith@medicinehatnews.com Pivot Spirits Craft Distillery in Rolling Hills is enjoying a spot of well earned recognition following the conclusion of the Artisan Distillers of Canada Spirit competition. The business took home several awards, including both gold and silver in contemporary gin, two silver and three awards for liqueur, and a bronze medal for their first whiskey. The spirit in question was created in honour of the Weatherhead family in Burdett, to recognize their “contribution and impact on Agriculture in Alberta,” said owner Lars Hirch.
