Police seek driver in hit and run

Police are investigating a hit-and-run collision involving a youth pedestrian that occurred Feb. 1. Police say a group of youths were walking eastbound in the crosswalk at the intersection at Division Avenue and 12th Street NE around 3:30 p.m. when a white SUV heading westbound turned left onto Division Avenue and struck one of the youths. The youth received minor injuries and reported the incident to a school resource officer at Crescent Heights High School. Police say the driver of the SUV interacted with the group of youths and provided information. Police are looking to speak to the driver involved in the situation for further information. They are also seeking information from anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have dash cam or doorbell video, to contact Cons. Jordan Wyton at 403-529-8481. 7-6
