Online reservations for campsites in Saskatchewan provincial parks will begin in early April on a staggered basis, that province announced Wednesday.

Seasonal campsite reservations open April 1, followed by the ability to block off nightly and group campsites for specific parks over the following week.

A breakdown shows that reservations for Cypress Hills provincial park will be available April 9, and Saskatchewan Landing near Lake Diefenbaker on April 2.

The province also notes that fees will not increase for the 2024 season.

In Alberta, stalls at most parks can be booked year-round but no more than 90 days in advance, including Elkwater at Cypress Hills, Kinbrook Island and Dinosaur Provincial Park in the southeast.

Other campgrounds in Cypress Hills, such as Reesor Lake, Spruce Coulee, Ferguson Hill and Firerock do not open for camping until mid-May.
