We need your help to ensure 2024’s New Year’s baby gets the coverage and gifts they deserve

The News is once again preparing to help welcome the first baby born in Medicine Hat in 2024 with a prize pack for the lucky parents and needs your help. Once again, Alberta Health Services is refusing to provide any help in this endeavour. Another hurdle is that Facebook has banned local news agencies from spreading or searching out such good news. Yet, with a little of your help, we shall overcome via a work-around that has proved useful in the past. Should your bundle of joy or grandchild arrive at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Jan. 1, we would like to hear from you that day. Provide a time of birth and a contact number, and the News will determine a winner, and provide a joyful report for all of Medicine Hat to read as a new year of possibilities greets them.
