Power outage affects about 1,500 addresses

About 1,500 addresses were without power for most of the afternoon Monday.

The cause was not released by press time, but updates from the utility department stated that about 1,000 customers’ power had been restored by about 5 p.m.

All areas of the Flats north of the Canadian Pacific Rail line, as well as across the river in Parkview and southern Ranchlands, were left without power or with intermittent supply after 1:30 p.m. on Monday.
