Man with air pistol in public charged

On Friday evening, police responded to a report of a suspicious person armed with a pistol in the 100 block of S. Railway Street.

Officers arrived on scene and located a man matching the description provided. He was taken into custody along N. Railway Street. Following the arrest officers discovered the man was armed with an air pistol.

The man has been charged with one count of possessing a weapon dangerous to public peace.
