Women’s Shelter, MHC hosting memorial vigil for violence against women

The Medicine Hat Women’s Shelter Society will host its annual vigil tonight to honour victims of the 1989 École Polytechnique massacre and all victims of gender-based violence. The women’s shelter is hosting its vigil tonight at 5:30 p.m. at Medicine Hat College’s Centennial Hall. The vigil comes on the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women that is recognized nationally and formally known as White Ribbon Day. 3-2
