Boil water advisory in Maple Creek

The Saskatchewan Water Safety Agency issued the notice at about noon, stating that sudden loss of pressure in the system could lead to contamination. The advisory will remain in place until repairs are completed and the water tested after flushing. Residents are told to boil tap water for at least one minute ahead of consumption, cooking, washing food in preparation, or brushing teeth. Residents should also avoid using tap water to wash dishes unless adding bleach, but to avoid mixing bleach with other cleaners. Laundry and bathing is generally considered fine for older children and adults. 8-7
