Ten train cars that came off the tracks in the Medicine Hat marshalling yard, including some tank cars on their sides, were “re-railed” on Monday, according to a brief statement from Canadian Pacific Kansas City railroad.
It stated that the cars were being moved at slow speed Sunday night when they derailed. The railroad reported no injuries and says there was no threat to public safety from the incident, which occurred behind businesses on the 900 block of S. Railway Street.
That is some distance away from a section of track where at least one grain car left the track and dug in on Sept. 13.
