Company fined $70K for 2021 worker injury near Gull Lake

https://www.medicinehatnews.com@MedicineHatNews A road building company in Saskatchewan has been fined $70,000 after a worker fell out of a scraper buggy near Gull Lake in June 2021 and was seriously injured. KMS Construction pled guilty Aug. 23 to contravening unspecified portions of rules regarding training and safe operations of equipment, according to a release from the Saskatchewan Ministry of Labour Relations and Workplace Safety on Sept. 8. Two other charges were withdrawn. A fine of $50,000 was levied as well as a $20,000 surcharge. 5-4
