Tigers sign import draftee Vasyl Spilka

The Medicine Hat Tigers put pen to paper with another import draftee. The Tigers announced Tuesday they’ve signed Czechian forward Vasyl Spilka to a WHL Scholarship/Development Agreement. Spilka was selected 87th overall by the Tigers in the 2023 CHL Import Draft. Medicine Hat already signed their 27th pick from that draft, Latvian d-man Bruno Petrovics. Both are expected to attend training camp later this month. The Tigers still have 20-year-old Latvian defenceman Bogdans Hodass on the roster, which puts the Tigers at three import players for the two slots available. 5-4
