For the second time in three days a train derailed near Havre, Mont. on Monday.

Amtrak reported that at 2 p.m. on July 24 a passenger train left the rails at the west end of the town 200 kilometres south of Medicine Hat.

No injuries were reported, Hill County disaster officials told MBC Montana, and no cars overturned at the site about two miles west of Havre.

The incident could be cleared by early evening on the Empire Builder route that carries passengers between Seattle and Chicago.

Last Friday, 25 cars on a freight train left the track east of the town, near State Highway No. 2.

Montana U.S. Senator Steve Daines posted a statement on social media stating that the number of derailments require “answers and accountability” from the railroad.
