Learn to geocache at Police Point

The Medicine Hat Interpretive Program is hosting a Geocaching 101 course at Police Point Park on Saturday July 15 from 10 a.m. to noon.

“Geocaching is essentially a worldwide treasure hunt,” reads a release from MHIP.

“Someone hides a container and marks down its coordinates on geocaching.com. Then, it’s up to us to find it.”

GPS units can be rented at the event for $5 each, or participants can use their phone.

The event will begin with a short presentation about geocaching, followed by time spent geocaching out in the park.
