The South Saskatchewan River will be full of floating enthusiasts Saturday.
The Great Big Paddle on the South Saskatchewan is this weekend with water enthusiast encouraged to embark on their kayaks, canoes, stand-up paddle boards and river floaties to enjoy a day on the river.
The Great Big Paddle launches off at Echo Dale Regional Park at noon, and floaters will arrive at the Strathcona Island Park boat launch a few hours later.
Float attendees are expected to bring their own equipment and must wear a life-jacket. Equipment can be rented from Let’s Go Adventures and Outdoor Xcape Rentals.
