RCMP seize pound of substance believed to be cocaine in Swift Current warrant search

https://www.medicinehatnews.com@MedicineHatNews Police in Swift Current say they recovered a pound of cocaine and a restricted firearm during a warrant search of a home in that city last week. Taylor Weiss-Linder, 27, of Swift Current, was arrested at the time of the search, and on Tuesday, the RCMP announced they had laid a number of weapons charges against the man. They include single counts of being in possession of a restricted firearm while prohibited, possession of an unlicensed restricted firearm and careless storage. Authorities also stated that a substance found at the home is being analyzed, but is believed to be 500 grams of cocaine. Weiss-Linder is scheduled to appear in Swift Current Provincial Court on June 12. 7-6
