City begins annual gas inspections

City contractors have begun conducting annual gas infrastructure inspections at more than 9,000 residential and commercial properties’ throughout Medicine Hat and Redcliff.

The inspections evaluate each property’s natural gas delivery system and bring attention to any issues in need of address.

To conduct the inspections, contractors will need to access the exterior of each property. Contractors are not required to seek the owner’s permission prior to entering the property.

Each contractor will carry photo identification, which must be presented upon request.
