Sudden death deemed non criminal in nature

The Medicine Hat Police Service has released an update on its investigation into the sudden death that occurred Wednesday.

In a statement on its website, MHPS said its investigation in conjunction with the Medical Examiner’s Office into the sudden death which occurred in the 2100 block of 24th Street SE is ongoing but there is no indication it was a criminal matter, nor posed a risk to the safety of the public.

Police say no further information about the investigation or the identity of the person will be released.
