Milk River ER temporarily closed again, will reopen May 19

Milk River Health Centre’s emergency department has temporarily closed due to physician shortages.

The closure began shortly after it was announced Friday afternoon, with the ED shutting its doors at 5 p.m. last night. It it scheduled to reopen at 5 p.m. on May 19.

Milk River and area residents in need of urgent medical care during this period are recommended to call 911 for EMS assistance, or seek care at the Raymond Health Centre (60 kilometres away) or Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge (87 kilometres away).
