Walk to Cure Diabetes set for Saturday at Kin Coulee bandshell

The annual “Walk to Cure Diabetes” in support of raising research funds is set to the take place this weekend in Medicine Hat.

The event, sponsored by SunLife Financial and put on by the local chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday morning from the bandshell in Kin Coulee Park. Registration begins at 10 a.m.

The group reminds potential participants that while diabetes can be controlled with medication, such as insulin, there is no cure for Type 1 diabetes.
