Elections Alberta looking to hire staff for May’s provincial vote

By Medicine Hat News on April 4, 2023.

Elections Alberta is looking to hire more than 20,000 individuals across the province to assist in the May election.

“This year we are preparing to offer in-person voting at over 300 advance voting, 600 mobile voting and 1,200 Election Day voting locations, and making sure we have enough staff is crucial to our goal of making voting accessible across the province,” said Pamela Renwick, deputy chief electoral officer with Elections Alberta.

A variety of positions are available, including voting site supervisors, information officers, voting officers, record clerks, registration officers, ballot box clerks and voting site monitors.

Training will be provided to chosen candidates.

A full listing of available positions, as well as information on how to apply, can be found online at elections.ab.ca.
