CFSEA hosting virtual Community Impact Award workshop April 4

By Medicine Hat News on March 31, 2023.

The Community Foundation of Southeastern Alberta is inviting local and regional agencies to attend its upcoming virtual Community Impact Award workshop on April 4 at 10 a.m.

An opportunity to learn more about award eligibility and application requirements, the workshop is open to agencies working to address critical community needs, as determined by CFSEA annually through data and evidence-based practice.

This year, the needs CFSEA determined most critical are those relating to work and economy, mental health and vulnerable populations, including food security, housing stability and domestic violence.

Award recipients will receive $25,000 funding for a maximum of two years for projects and project ideas which support such needs.

“(CFSEA) is excited to support successful applicants in the implementation of their innovative ideas,” Josh Hudson, CFSEA Community Leadership Committee chair, said.

Agencies interested in joining the virtual workshop must register by noon on April 3 by emailing grants@cfsea.ca or call 403-527-9038.

The deadline to apply for a Community Impact Award is noon on April 17.
