Ride-share company Uride plans expansion to Medicine Hat

A new ride-sharing company will be hitting the streets of Medicine Hat in the coming months.

Uride announced Tuesday it will begin expansion into Alberta with Medicine Hat after successful launches in B.C. markets.

A press release adds Uride has “started recruiting drivers with the goal of launching in Medicine Hat in time for the summer,” and is offering $1,000 sign-up bonuses to drivers who register prior to launch and complete at least 40 rides.

“Our entire team is extremely excited to enter the Alberta market with the ultimate goal of providing safe, reliable and affordable transportation,” Uride regional operations manager for Western Canada Ravi Dhami, says in the release. “The people of Medicine Hat have been dealing with the inability to get a ride when they’ve needed one for several years and we plan on coming in to address that need.”
