The 2023 Medicine Hat Food and Beverage Expo begins Saturday at Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede.

Billed as the social event of the year, only those 18 years and older can attend. Government issued photo identification will be required at the door. The event runs from 4-10 p.m.

Major sponsor for the evening is the Medicine Hat and District Chamber of Commerce, which saw it as a way to promote their ‘Local First’ message.

“When the opportunity to sponsor the Food and Beverage Expo was presented to us, we knew this was an opportunity to support this vital business segment within our community,” stated Medicine Hat and District Chamber of Commerce president Trevor Anhel. “We are excited to see our community come together during this event and showcase our connections between businesses and consumers.

“It also allows us to support our business community through the profile and promotions these types of events offer and influence increased opportunities for our business community.”

The Chamber has created a Local First advertising book, which will showcase member businesses and be handed out to attendees free of charge. The book contains deals, coupons, and general promotions to be used at the expo.

This year, there will be more than 120 vendors. Wines, beers, cocktails and food are available to sample from restaurants and suppliers in Medicine Hat and surrounding areas. Keep an eye on Facebook and Twitter pages for both the Chamber and Alberta Food and Beverage Expo for prizes and giveaways.

Tickets are $22.50 each and extra sample tickets cost $0.50. Tickets can be purchased at https://eatdrinkalberta.com/events/medicine-hat/ or from the Alberta Food and Beverage Expo social media pages.

An event app can be downloaded from https://qrco.de/bdD7eO, which allows those attending to find where exhibitors are located and to have access to a digital catalog book that contains savings to be used after the show.
