Medicine Hat News Medicine Hat is one of 25 initial locations in Canada where a relaunched Zeller’s outlet will occupy space within space of its parent brand, The Bay.
That company announced Wednesday morning that the new online-focused effort will be coupled with a physical “in-store” experience at three locations in Alberta among about two dozen across the nation.

In 2012, the Bay closed down the local location of its department store subsidiary, and the 80,000-square-foot retail space was later converted to become a Target, then the food court in the Medicine Hat Mall’s current configuration. On Wednesday the Bay stated that existing stores at Medicine Hat Mall, Kingsway Mall in Edmonton and Sunridge Mall in Calgary will see portions totalling between 8,000 to 10,000 square feet dedicated to “Zeller’s” merchandise.
According to a press release that will include a selection of home decor, toys, baby needs, apparels and pet merchandise, and shopping will be linked with a planned “e-commerce portal.”
Other physical locations on the prairies are at the Midtown Plaza in Saskatoon and St. Vital in Winnipeg.
Four locations in British Columbia are located in Vancouver, Kamloops, Surrey and Abbotsford. Another 14 locations are located in Ontario or Quebec, and two will be in Nova Scotia.
