Police seek continued assistance in whereabouts of missing woman

The search continues for missing Medicine Hat woman Jennifer Chemelli-Magnus, as police urge anyone with information potentially relating to her disappearance to contact them.

Chemelli-Magnus was last seen at roughly 6:40 p.m. on the evening of Dec. 30, when a security camera captured her walking eastbound on 20th Street NE in the direction of Eighth Avenue.

In the video, Chemelli-Magnus is dressed in a black bomber-style jacket, black and white snakeskin-pattered leggings, black knee-high mukluks with pom-pom tassels, a white scarf and a black shoulder purse, and is seen carrying a black single-use plastic bag. Chemelli-Magnus is 53 years of age, five feet in height and is described by police as having brown/blonde hair and blue eyes.

Police are asking residents in and around the area of 20th Street NE and Eighth Avenue to search their properties and review security camera footage from the evening of Dec. 30, and notify police of anything appearing suspicious or concerning in nature.
