City looking for volunteers for Adopt-a-Rink

The city is inviting Hatters to join its Adopt-a-Rink program, in which community volunteers help construct and maintain one of 14 outdoor public skating rinks located across Medicine Hat.

Volunteers are responsible for building ice, occasionally flooding the rink and shovelling when necessary, however the city does provide some assistance in snow removal. The city also supplies all necessary tools to volunteers.

Interested individuals are asked to apply online at medicinehat.ca.
