Bassano’s ER will close evenings and overnight Mondays to Thursdays, indefinitely

Physician shortages are forcing the closure of the Bassano Health Centre’s emergency department from 5 p.m. to 8 a.m., Mondays to Thursdays indefinitely, Alberta Health Services announced Wednesday. Individuals in need of urgent care in the Bassano area during these times will be redirected to the Brooks Health Centre 51 kilometres away. AHS says it is working to address shortages and restore regular hours of operation. 4-3
