Big Marble takes over Sunshine Greenhouse

As of Oct. 1, Big Marble Farm Inc. and Sunshine Greenhouses Ltd. amalgamated under a single corporation under the name Big Marble.

Both Sunshine Greenhouse and Big Marble have expanded in the past few years. Sunshine Greenhouses, located north of Big Marble on Range Road 63, added six-acres onto the existing 10-acre facility in 2021.

Big Marble did two separate 10-acre expansions, one in 2019-20 and another in 2021-22, which enabled it to produce food all year long. The total size of the main facility is about 55 acres now, or 2.4 million square feet.

Big Marble Farms Inc. declined to talk to the News about the purchase of Sunshine Greenhouses.
