The Town of Redcliff is hosting its annual Christmas Tree Lighting and Winter Celebration on Friday from 6-8 p.m. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be on hand under the gazebo. Rumours were circulating that Christmas carollers were going to make an appearance this year but it hasn’t been confirmed.

Tree lighting will happen at 7 p.m. Hotdogs and hot chocolate will be available free of charge thanks to the Redcliff Youth Centre, Redcliff Family Dental and White Dragon Karate.

The Redcliff Fire Department will be there to light the fire pits. Last year they played basketball with those who wanted to participate and it is anticipated that will happen again this year.

Additionally, this year Moonlight Madness will take place the same evening. Businesses will stay open until 9 p.m. with Black Friday sales. Who’s on Third and the Redcliff Hylton will be serving a featured Christmas cocktail.

Phyllis Forsyth, chief administration officer with the Town of Redcliff, invites everybody to come out and enjoy the community and celebrate the wonderful season.
